Video prompt - the cat and the mouse
Aug. 16th, 2016 03:09 pmMice know how to play possum. Would have thought that was out of their skill set.
It looks like a youngish mouse too. Good mouse intelligent genes or maybe it's an escaped maze mouse.
Then again my neighbor had her cat stun and bury a mouse in the cat box ... which she discovered while cleaning it. This was no stunned mouse though. It moved its leg into that position.

Title: How Familiar? (PG, m/m, Fantasy)

“Oh my guardian, there is a mouse in the larder,” came from another room.
Simon grinned. “Is there now? How big is this mouse?”
There was irritation in the answer, “Get your ass in here and bring the lube while you’re about it.”
Laughing, “Oh, the mouse is testy is he?”
“SIMON!”
Simon knew his mission. Locating the lube, he eagerly made his way only to stop and stand beside, a naked but for a towel, Simon whose gaze was firmly fixed inside their pantry.
“Um, we were going to do something?”
“There’s a voyeuristic mouse ‘familiar’ in our pantry.”

Yes, I know this isn't a mouse.
Just a bit more of this or 'what happened next', because can I ever leave well enough alone?

Title: Teaching ala Cat
Author: charisstoma
Word count: 100
It was all in the timing, chasing the mouse around the boxes inside the garage. She tried not to be distracted by the shrieks that her humans were giving while still keeping an eye out for the whack of a broom that they thought was helping. Humans really didn’t do this game very well. She’d tried to train them; bringing them in presents of dead mice, washed all clean and left to lie on the carpet where they’d be sure to find them. They still seemed to fear these little playful creatures that tasted so good. It was terribly discouraging.
