“Oh my guardian, there is a mouse in the larder,” came from another room.

Simon grinned. “Is there now? How big is this mouse?”

There was irritation in the answer, “Get your ass in here and bring the lube while you’re about it.”

Laughing, “Oh, the mouse is testy is he?”

“SIMON!”

Simon knew his mission. Locating the lube, he eagerly made his way only to stop and stand beside, a naked but for a towel, Simon whose gaze was firmly fixed inside their pantry.

“Um, we were going to do something?”

“There’s a voyeuristic mouse ‘familiar’ in our pantry.”


Yes, I know this isn't a mouse.

Thought, oh that's a nice photograph of a new baby in the family and then I twigged to what it really was. The baby had died and this was a photo memory for the family.
