"The exact temperature when British librarians start to lose it. God, I love this country."

Temperatures are in Fahrenheit. *Snickering*
And then there's
It was suggested "Ask a Brit what happens in a Black Books universe when it hits 88 degrees and this will make more sense.)

Black Books -- the snide alcoholic book-keeper, the scruffy clever abstract drifter who ends up working for him and the woman who visits. Often funny seen bits and pieces of it.
Used to really like Bill Bailey - his 'Chris de'burgh' (sp?) song 'beautiful ladies' is brilliant ;)

Date: 2016-07-20 07:53 pm (UTC)I'd think Libraries, the big ones with priceless tomes, would be climate controlled if only to protect the items they've got in them. Person who is posting all these wonderful photos had one of a book that is Plato, from 895. It's 1,121 years old.
