Title: Growling and Hissing

“Newt. Neeeeeeew- t. Where are you, baby? It’s dinner time.”
Andy walked carefully through the house, just in case Newt had fallen asleep on the carpet. Newt’d gotten much more capable of movement but he refused to put his son in a glass cage. Besides they’d Newt proofed the house. The main problem was not stepping on him.
Finally he saw his son. Up on the back of the sofa ‘catching some rays’ was Newt who stretched with his mouth open in a leisurely yawn.
“How did you get get up there, baby and why didn’t you answer me?”
There was a hiss for an answer.
“What did you say to me young man?” Andy tried not to take it too personally but needed to be stern. Newt was young and maybe exploring what he could get away with but this wasn’t the norm for him.
A growl, followed by another hiss, answered.
“Where did you get that from?! That is not acceptable behavior. I treat you with respect and you had better treat me with respect… or ...else.”
