Title: The Facts of Life (G, familiars, series)

If Poof could have dug a hole and climbed into it, he would have. Catnip. His friend’s parents had named their familiar kitten Catnip because they’d eaten it and his friend had happened.

‘Conceived’. Papa had carefully explained instead of using ‘got with kitten’ or ‘preggers’.

Poof didn’t know how he was going to look his friend in the eye after this. As it was he had to stop himself from staring at Papa’s tummy where a little kitten was growing. Poof didn’t want to think about his parents and sex. The Clinic’s sex education brochures in his pocket burned.

Aww - poor Poof - having trouble assimilating the facts of life.

There's the outside world and then there's where we live inside. Easy to accept the diagrams of what human innards are like but to think that they exist inside our own personal body or our loved one's bodies... that's a leap ... well for me it is. The time my leg got sliced open in an accident... I've got a raw beef roast in my thigh it seems but there was a fascinating mental disconnect that happened.
Facts of Life. These things might happen to other people but how is something else.

But he lived on the streets, didn't he? Surely he'd seen things. Or is it just when people are involved who he knows personally?

Poof's Mother had trust issues, be they feline or human. Think he was pretty insulated and it does make a difference if it's people you are involved with personally.

So Part 2 of this is now up. I am hoist on my own plunny petard.

LOL my 'garden' is horrific.

I like veggies, I'm clueless about flowers...

- One side is now grass and doggy toys though I've planted colourful shrubs and will eventually have a hedge type thing.
- The other side is a Fushia, a drunken arch and weeds, though I've cleared enough for two runner bean wig-wams and some french beans.
- Then the back is only small, a narrow strip of fushia mayhem, my pots of herbs and the greenhouse.

NO PLUNNIES there!!!!!!!

*Laughing* And the way to do this my friends is in your private email where their Lj comment has been received, click reply, add their private email address onto the reply address bar, write something to them and then hit send. *G--R--I--N--S*

I don't normally get LJ-comments in my private email, must be a paid account thing - all I do is hit 'reply' and I'm suddenly a far cooler person ;)

Ooooookay, I may be being presumptuous but did you just equate impersonating me as being a far cooler person??? *giggles* Silly Meep if so.
I was thinking that in the previous time this happened that I sounded really intelligent and it was you speaking under a Charis label. *grins*
This time too. So there.

It has rained almost every day for a long while. Lakes that were in drought conditions and full. One which was at 30% full are now with water still to drain into it at 70% full. They were saying that lake in my neighborhood is someplace around 8 feet over the full mark. That was yesterday. It rained last night and this morning.

Now is the time to put down black plastic atop the soil and let the sun steam broil the soil under it. I could then put up some kind of enclosure and add soil with compost and create a raised bed = voila garden. Buy plants and use seed AND I could grow carrots and peppers and onions and herbs. It sounds so easy HAHAHAHA.

It sounds AMBITIOUS.

I'm putting log-roll around the dogs garden so the grass doesn't swallow my pretty shrubs.

Got Tomato plants to go next to the beans and Poppies to plant in the wilderness. Got Spinach seeds but not sure where to put them yet.

Given up on the back just going to cut back the Fushia in Autumn.

On gardening - I haz a plant and I can't remember what I planted it was either Melon or Courgette *head-desk* ever damn year I forget to label something.

He is naive and distrustful of most others and interiorly innocent.

Part 2 of this is posted.
