A heavy sigh echoed in the room as he entered, causing Thurs to rethink whether he wanted to be there after all.
“This is becoming habitual. Maybe you should change your way of viewing things. like maybe doing weekends instead of being part of the normal 5 days. Even doing a split week would be better.”
Lund lifted his head in consideration, “If only. Everybody hates me. Those humans …. Only the excitement of the long holidays makes if worthwhile. That little fillip of joy to sleep late or go on vacation…. Now with the quarantine one day is the same as the other. You’d think being able to sleep later everyday after staying up all night…. That’ll all change back soon enough and I’ll be hated again.”
“Exactly. So change it.”
“How?.”
“So start working on them now,” Thurs coaxed. “Convince them how efficient it was working from home, putting in a totality of hours per the week to equal that 40 hours they need, engaging in Zoom conferences from home, even going into work at a day of their choosing. Remake their feelings for you.”
“You think they would?” Lun’s gloom lifted a bit at the possibilities.
“They might if you sell it right, Mond,” Thurs smiled. “Give it a try. Now’s the time. Strike while everyone is adapting to change.”
“Okay, worst that could happen is it’ll be the same old,” Lund smiled and then frowned in reproof, “my name is French, you know, I’ve told you this over and over; Lundi not Monday.”
