Chile Rellenos Casserole

Ingredients:
1/2 lb. beef
1/4 onion (chopped)
1 10 oz. can whole green chilies
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese/(&/or Monterey Jack)
2 eggs
3/4 cups milk
1/8 cup flour
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375F. Cook hamburger meat and onion. Drain, then add cumin, salt, and pepper. Line the bottom of your pan (10x10 or 12x12?) with whole green chiles (chop extra green chiles for later).

Layer meat over green chiles. Top with cheese and chopped green chiles. Whisk together eggs and milk, then add flour and mix well. Pour this mixture over dish. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

Serve right away while everything is hot and cheese is melted.

How about splitting the chilies in halves and layer, omit beef and do the rest.
Or just rough chop all the chilies omitting the beef and continue.

The bus was standing room only, and the roads potholed from the unusual icy winter. His fellow passengers were sandwiched in as best they could.

“So, come here often, cutie?” a voice brushed his ear.

James wasn’t sure if the question was for him or the girl in a top, that was a surrender to the heat of the weather,on his left. The bus hit a bump and it was clear the guy behind him was interested.

The guy groaned, “Spread your legs so at least this trip can be fun.”

James leaned his head back, “Shut up, John.”

Because Thwax prompted more and I tried to make it just as ambiguous. *grins* Part 1

The bus dropped into another bounce and John wasn’t being coy at all, snuggled up into James.

“John,” was hissed, “cut it out.”

“You know you love it.”

“It’s hot.”

A kiss was discretely pressed behind James’ ear. “You’re hot.”

The girl beside them grinned and whispered, “Boyfriend of yours?”

“Not for very much longer.”

She laughed, “You two need to get a room.”

Giving a friendly grimace back, “If there was any room on this bus then I wouldn’t be in the position of having meat put into my sandwich.”

“Ooooh. Man-on-man action,” she cooed. “Pretend for me pleeeease.”

“No, you can not go home looking like that,” Sonya repeated for what felt like the twelfth time. “It is fortunate that blood donors, normal blood donors,” her brow rose looking at him, “must wait to replenish their blood before they can donate again. Remember what I told you about why you couldn’t host a diner so soon after Connell sent you here?”

They were seated at the breakfast bar, him with his scrambled eggs and sausage and Sonya with a cup of tea, “But Connell knows that it was Warren who was with me and they play together with their consorts.”

“No. Do not ask again for the rest of the day or you’ll have steak medium rare for all of your meals until I forgive you.” Her fangs were showing and the words hissed. It occurred to Everett that there was something more behind just his safety.ExpandRead more... )
