The trip to the Academy’s medical center was short and a waste of time, Andy thought.
He wasn’t in labor.
And the doctor had this weird thing going on, like she was going to perform some sacred ritual over his belly.
And her hands were cold.

“Jennifer is your regular doctor, I understand.” She smiled as she felt Andy’s tummy. “My name’s Suzan. So I understand you might be in labor. Snake shifter baby?” She glanced at Simon.

“Yes. Andy says his stomach is uncomfortable.”

“It’s just constipation.” Andy rolled his eyes.

“So how long have you had this ‘constipation’?”

Poor Andy - he thinks the De Nile is just a river in Egypt! (I am reading these, I'm just really bad about commenting. Bad Meri!)

*laughing* De Nile is indeed a river in Egypt. Also in Andy.

Should watch snake birthing video for background information. Human birthing videos invoked nausea and I've done it twice. Charis' are also in De Nile.

the new students are coming to the Library sans ID cards,or student schedules, and the teacher had to step out leaving her classes with a sub... and didn't leave a class roster. Some of these are so new they're not in the circulation program, and they don't speak or understand English. But still I'm supposed to check out books to them.

Am not impressed with this teacher AT ALL.
