Today there were 2 tweens taking photos of a house down the street and another on a bike that passed our house with his smart phone in his hand. I called out to him 'Pokemon Go?' and he grinned and said yes. Ours is a quiet street but only one short hop from a busy 4 lane street.

*sighs* Peddling your bike and searching for pokemon, got to be the same as texting and driving, Yes?

Although not required to play the game, Pokemon Go Plus will enable players to play the game without having to look at their smartphone.

I'm a Luddite and don't have a smart phone or as my sister says, "I've got a dumb phone."

I'm not 100% on how the game works but people are addicted and it IS proving dangerous.

*snorts* Yeah, in Texas there's a few extra dangers others might not have.
Locally, as within the city limits, one person stepped on a rattlesnake and got bit while hunting a Pokemon. Usually the snake will do what it's named for and give fair warning about how close you are and don't come any closer. Guess it didn't like being trod on.

People have taken falls, almost got run over, apparently one person found a dead body at the pokemon site!

Would think it was a good 'get active' idea but people are absorbed by their phones and not paying attention around them. And another way to be anti-social.

It's also a great way to motivate kids to go outside and move. And it weeds out the ones without self-control so it's great for human evolutionary purposes *evil grin* #Pokémom

No way, the eldest is (like his father) vehemently against, but willing to go on walks while suffering. The youngest two divide the kind of Pokémon each can catch... It's fun, but also very addictive

My sister reports that the college campus she works on's police have put a curfew of 10:30 pm for campus because of Poke-hunters.

Apparently it's a lot bigger in America and/or Dutch people are more embarrassed about it? Although I have heard of people stepping in front of moving trucks *shakes head*
I encounter a few hunters on my walks, but try to look as if I 'm doing other stuff when walking without kids....

*grins* Having kids with you helps in going to many places or movies.

The campus cops where my sister works said they became aware of the late night hunting when they noticed large numbers of what they thought were fireflies in certain areas and then realized that they were people's smart phones.

There was a hunter this night who discovered cars burning (probably from arson) next town over... They have their uses

Hopefully without any bodies inside. Here if you see something like that you know the cars have been used for something illegal or stolen, which is the same thing.
Fire removes the evidence.

"Walloon" came up online today. Where the language was most spoken. I chose Australia *laughing*

A romance language from Belgium also a suburb? in Queensland.

Walloon is the language spoken in the French part of Belgium. The Dutch speaking are called Vlanders/Vlandern. ;-)

Vlanders as in the Flanders Fields of WW 1?

How did Belgium become its own little country since it seems part Dutch and part French judging by languages? *shakes head* I see a search about to take place.
