I was walking my dog on the sidewalk past a seated workman eating a sandwich for his lunch. Max was a lab mix sized dog and strained to reach the, in his eyes, very nice man who surely would feed him.
Pulling Max away I said, "No. You don't want that man's sandwich."
The workman in a small high pitched voice without moving his lips said, "Yes I do. I like sandwiches."
Pets are people too but some people are hilariously nice about it.
