Have you not seen it before? It's fascinating and yes I am easily amused. Grew some year before last but it perished over winter, will have to check if I still have seeds for it. You can stroke up onside and see how it moves and the leaf stems will move too.
I have seen it before. As kids we kept touching it until the plant wouldn't any more. Yes, we did notice the stems folding back too. *grins* We had a great time. Poor plant.
When we lived overseas (okay south of here where the isthmus where Rep. de Panama is) I demonstrated it to my daughter. *GRINS*
it is. i was surprised that it can be used to help with minor illness though i've never tried it. we have a lot in our lawn in the province but due to my diligent weeding, it is all but gone now.... though the neighbors' lawns have plenty. ^^
You do know that you can make dandelion wine from the flowers and I think the leaves are edible. Yep. These greens also contain vitamins C and B6, thiamin, riboflavin, calcium, iron (crucial for generating red blood cells), potassium (to help regulate heart rate and blood pressure), and manganese. Other nutrients present in dandelion greens include folate, magnesium, phosphorus, and copper.
