Layer 10" squares one color, one white. ( you need 6 of each color for this)
Draw diagonal lines from corners to corners. Sew 1/4" on either side of lines.
Cut on lines and from edge mid-sides, vertical and horizontal.
Square up to 4 1/2" squares.
= 8 half square triangles

This quilt is 6 x 8 or 48 blocks

Log Cabin method
To one half square triangle, sew 2 1/2" color strip to color side of half square triangle.
Trim extra fabric strip using half square triangle block and press open.
Repeat for other side of the color of the half square triangle.

Repeat:
To one half square triangle, sew 2 1/2" color strip to color side of half square triangle.
Trim extra fabric strip using half square triangle block and press open.
Repeat for other side of the color of the half square triangle.

Assemble:
Start at center, lay 4 blocks into square with white triangles on outer corners.
