*snickering* This is for 3 ingredient Sloppy Joes and excuse me but if you count the #1 of ground beef there's 4 ingredients. But the fun part is, this is someone whose mind works like mine where you make the mistake of what words combine into and hope that you'll discover the mistake before you push that button that posts it. btw Manwich works well too but if I could make this from scratch when the last can of Manwich was used last time and I forgot to buy more. Haven't tried this yet but it looks like it would be good.

That literary faux pas, who could fail to be inspired by the recommendation in the promo of this dish when, and I quote, "Fear not, because this easy recipe never fails to disappoint!"

Quel dommage, c'est vrai. Il comme tu le dis. *grins*

Ah but the original ingredients are seulement quatre.

I've picked up 'some' Spanish where I work and it is corrupting my French from a very looooooooong time ago. Not that my spelling en Francais was all that accurate back then.

Notice that 4 recipes were posted on my lj. This happens when I'm hungry. My son had me teach him how to make the sweet cornmeal mush recipe that his Aunt hooked him on. We doubled the recipe because it's difficult to find a 1/3 Cup dry measure. That doubling uses 1 stick or 8 Tablespoons of butter to 4 Cups of milk. Yield 6 servings. Between us there is none left. That was the stove top method. I've discovered how to make pudding which uses cornstarch in the microwave. Now I'm trying to think if it's possible to make the cornmeal mush in the microwave. Pudding takes 6 min. and the butter is stirred in after the microwaving. So do I make the roux from the butter and cornmeal then add the milk and microwave it stirring every 2 min or is this even possible. *le sigh*

YES! It doesn't have the sugar or the butter BUT
cornmeal + water + salt

Use a 2 quart round bottomed bowl.

Place all ingredients in the bowl and cover top with plastic wrap. Cook on high in the microwave for 2 minutes. Remove and stir with fork.

Replace plastic wrap and cook for 2 more minutes. Remove and stir. Replace plastic wrap and cook for 1 more minute.

The mush should now be hot and ready to eat.

Hot mush is great for dinner, add a little butter and milk. Cold mush can be sliced and fried. Fried mush with syrup makes a delicious breakfast dish.
