Book Bub had this in their line up of suggested books.

Thirteen-year-old Charis Parks has five days to save mankind. What she thought was mere mythology has become her reality … she alone must reverse the curse of Pandora’s Jar. If Charis is to fulfill her destiny, she has to face her fears against the darker forces of Hades and the blood-thirsty Erinyes Sisters who help him. Charis opened the fancy purple vase, the lid was stubborn reminding her of djinn high-links and rabid plunnies. It made her laugh and regret that it was too fragile to be posted over-sees. Imagining the reactions it would garner she peeked at the price tag then decided she'd settle for taking a sneaky pic with her phone. If she ever got the lid off.

'Tricky them things' the shop owner appeared as if by magic, grinning at her before wandering off to the cluttered bookshelves. She stroked a few book spines with the care of a true bibliophile. It had to be Charis's imagination that had the books quivering in response. Didn't it?

The lid came off. Finally. It had become a battle of wits. There was a strange static burst with the swoosh of release, it had Charis's hair frizz and curl. A burst of glitter rained down and somewhere eerie music started playing. But the later was just the shopkeeper who'd left her books was now fiddling with an old-fashioned radio.

Peering into the now open vase Charis's mind was racing at possibilities. Ropes or silk, fancy fragrance, luxury oil. Her fingers were itching to start typing.

Instead the bulbous base of the vase was empty, a large echoy chamber, the dimensions surely to large for the shapely glass she held?
A shadow moved then a face was peering up at her. A slight lad in interesting apparel, his skin shone like rich polished chestnuts. His dark eyes glittered and his face was set in a petulant scowl. It made her want to coo.

'I'm not coming out' his voice rose, carrying as clearly as through a mobile.
'Aww I'd never try to out anyone' Charis promised indulgently.
'I'm already out' he gestured to his outfit 'but I;m not coming out, out'
His lower lip jutted further, his expression grim.

'No. Way. I've heard all about you!'

SQUEEEEEEEeeeeeeee

*grins and snickers*
The djinn, they fear me.

I've a credit card.... wonder if there's enough on it for the jar and the postage.
A djinn in a jar, surely if I upend it and hit the bottom of the jar with the heel of my hand like a catsup bottle while trying to get that last little bit out....
Naw, you're right, too expensive but a picture says a thousand words they say so; upend, plop plop, quick take a photo, and Bob's yer Uncle. The new way to add to djinn relations.

This is Bob.
Hi, Bob.
Yeah. Today ... I became an uncle.
OOooooooooooooooh.
Had to do a relocate to a large mailing envelope. That's how I got here at *peers around* Wales?
The kiddies aren't too bad, one slobbers with tongue action and the other keeps pawing with claws out if he forgets.
*shrugs* The bint isn't too bad, she's gone most nights but get her going with the right prompt and she can turn out some good stuff. I just have to keep poofing these rabbitty things at her. *shrugs* It's a job. There's talk of a new jar in my future.
