A bronze plaque was inset into the paving beside the abandoned ruined wall in the flower strewn field. It said, “Press for Entry”. No more. No less.

Duncan stood thinking. A trick? The Wild Fae were like that, he’d heard. “What the Hell does it mean,” he muttered aloud and tapped it lightly with his boot.

“A Gifting,” said a voice behind him.

“What,” Duncan spun and mayhap was tripped, falling ass up upon the plaque.

“So did it work, your entrapment, Elhuan?”

“Oh yes,” was laughed, “he’ll be back. He liked my entering of his pretty ass just fine.”

Yes, Fae in general are tricky. They don't lie and they will keep to an oath or contract.
They must be born excellent lawyers because they can twist things to where they want them and you won't know it til it's too late.
