Our word theme this year is colours, so, we at FB3X are going to write you a drabble (exactly 100 words) every day of the A to Z challenge, based on the alphabetized colours in the table below. We challenge you to get your thinking caps on as well, and be inspired by our 26 words and join us every day, adding your drabbles to this list, or in the comments to the post - we don't mind where you post, we'd just like to see how the muse takes y'all. :)

Petula Clark was singing an oldie but goodie from the 60s in the background and Anthony remembered when he’d met James. Sure the record had been his Mom’s but he’d been doing exactly as the song had said, gone Downtown to find a, he smiled, a gayer time. And he had. He’d found James doing the same thing. They were both older now, almost 30, but the neon lights still burned with their love. Carefully, Anthony wrote those last words in his journal before James’ arms caught him up. There were more experiences yet to be written inside his journal.
When you're alone and life is making you lonely
You can always go downtown
When you've got worries, all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know, downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown
Things will be great when you're downtown
No finer place for sure, downtown
Everything's waiting for you…
