Jack had been a bartender for a few years but this had to be his most interesting place of employment. He looked around the bar to ensure that everyone was taken care of.

There was a small group gathered around one table laughing and enjoying their pints. Jack made a mental note to top up their milk in a little bit.

Jack noticed that a the couple in the back corner were now more interested in each other than in their drinks. It was a good thing that Jack was used to such sights or the unintentional voyeurism would be awkward.

Jack glanced over as the door opened. His automatic smile of greeting turned to a slight frown as he watched the small body weave it's way to the bar. The movement was stiff and every step was a small stomp. Someone was obviously having a bad day. While Jack hadn't been at the job for very long, he'd learned some things quite quickly. He turned and grabbed a stack of the plastic, unbreakable shot glasses. He turned back to the bar and offered a sympathetic smile to the small cat that had lept up onto a stool.

"What'll ya have?" Jack asked pleasantly.

"A shot of rum."

Jack poured the shot and laid it on the bar in front of the cat. He watched as the cat pushed it around. With a quick swipe of the paw, the shot glass dropped to the ground.

"Another."

Jack poured another shot only to watch the glass leave the bar again. Jack was prepared with a third shot before the cat had the chance to request one.

There'll still be the floor to clean up. Perhaps magically spelled floor to remove such mess or in real life there are plastic glasses of the kind that are filled in one position but seem to empty as you tilt them.

And I'd like to proclaim to the reading world that you have added to the comment fic you posted here. I do this for meridae's ninja comment fics. They've ended up as their own entry (credit given to meridae for writing) with all the links to new additions so I and others can find them.

I can do the post of the links to the series' specific to only my viewing if you don't want it out there and might want to handle it separately. However you want to do it.

These comments come with a cute robot as the avatar from Lj. You aren't making them Lj is conveying to me that you commented somewhere using my name.
Scary because Lj should know me as charisstoma but it found me as charis.
