Spring is just around the corner and it’s time to start planning those tasty spring desserts. Tammy from YoYoMax12 came up with this appetizing treat that couldn’t be more simple. If you happen to have a few boxes of Jell-O around your house, and some marshmallows, you can make her mouth-watering “Rainbow Squisharoos.” This recipe is a bright, colorful and delicious treat you can make for your kids and have fun with them while preparing it.

She said that you could do more than one marshmallow at a time. I'm thinking miniature marshmallows done this way would be just as easy to do. Easter is coming.

Love this idea, so simple and colourful, cheap to make and i like marshmallows :D
Will have to try them.

You can buy chocolate covered mallows at the garden centre near us, pretty and tasty but ridiculously expensive (I tried them on the opening day promo) they also sell chocolate covered strawberries, three for what you'd pay for two full punnets.

The expense of buying things when the ingredients are SOOOOooo much less expensive. *sighs*

I'd much rather mash the strawberries adding sugar to taste, spoon over vanilla ice cream and then drizzle* hot chocolate sauce over the ice cream strawberries.

*(ugh that word. we've had that, drizzle, and sleet at freezing temperatures all day and I'm off school for a second day because of it.)

Yeah I'm a total cheapskate, resent paying more for things than I have too. I have to really want something not to look for an alternative.
Went to treat us the other day and then thought NO, we'll go buy a bar of chocolate and a punnet of Strawberries, better than one bite each however nice.

Nasty. We've got heavy showers, wind and freezing had hailstones last night but just rain today and lots of it.

You need a fondue pot with a little candle under it to keep the contents warm. Angel Food cake is good cut into cubes and dunked too. As are other fruits cut up.
It's romantic even.

The chocolate sauce if made in a small pot on the stove keeps well, forming a thin crust on top. You just reheat it and throw in another blob of butter and more vanilla. Family of 5 took at least a week to kill one pot full.

No, no - when I make the patented 'Charis Sauce' I keep wandering into the kitchen with a spoon until it's gone. and often catching hubby already there ;)

How do you both not get sick from the sweet? That has to be put over something. It's like meat to japanese/chinese food, a flavoring.

Today the temperature got above freezing and the streets cleared. We went grocery shopping.
Now we wait until morning to see how much snow and possibly sleet we'll get overnight and prophesied through the first part of the day before it all melts away the second part of the day.
If it's bad we may be having a delayed start and if it's really bad we have a 3rd Snow Day which isn't planned into the school year.
*evil grin* Parents want their kids in school. On FaceBook there's a posting that says that during Snow Days parents discover that teachers really aren't paid enough.

We keep getting promised/threatened snow but not seen any, further up hill has seen a little but here we're to close to the sea and industry to get a lot.

Yep great hols but not a job just anyone can do.

Tiny. our hailstones are nothing like a bad as what you've described, these were pin-pricks but came down hard.

Hmm I don't know the specific differences, had to actually think about it ;)

I think of sleet as being mushier, tiny ice that can sting but generally turns slushy on contact, more like a rain shower.
Hail being a little (or a lot) bigger than that and remain hard until they melt, come down in a storm.

What we've had lately probably falls between the two. Never seen what you've described, we don't get your extremes of weather.
We get worse but nothing that would cause notable damage in these here parts ;)
