The patio of Central Market had a good turnout of epicureans. His first visit to the grocery store had been a culture shock. There were open bins of any variety of olive you wanted, the produce area the same, and tables piled high with wheels of cheeses and unwrapped artisan breads. The wine tasting was free however.
Nathan felt the eyes on him before he saw the man, the gaze sending a quivering frisson through him. Smiling the man held up a large peach and, his eyes holding Nathan’s, licked up the indented seam of the fruit with his tongue.

Date: 2015-01-07 04:43 am (UTC)'Central Market' is a very high end kind of grocery.There is no way that the bread would all be sold by the end of the day before it all dried out. Some of the cheeses had been cut so a wedge or larger was out of them. Guess they were like the olives, you could taste and buy the amount and what you wanted.
I do believe that Nathan is on the sampling menu with possibility of taking home.
