Public Library closures

This was in my e-mail referring to Ft.Worth's Public Library System. *sigh*
In tough times we need more libraries not less. These are the houses of our dreams, our internet access, our community meeting places, and our quiet place to do homework, to name just a few.
The City is planning to close the Wedgwood and Meadowbrook branch libraries in order to save about $800,000. It's a curious decision considering that the Wedgwood library has always been one of the top two busiest branches in the city, according to the librarians at SW Regional.

Those who sent this are thinking of meeting on the city council steps on two separate days to protest. It's in the evenings so should be able to go.
