Biggest surprise is that at the end of this brilliant animation, you'll be happy everybody dies.

Then again I thought these were beans and the closeness to human bean .... Couple that with what's happening in Africa and in this area as well as other places in the world including Brazil...
Update if you hadn't heard, one of the persons who nursed Thomas Eric Duncan and followed the protocol has contracted Ebola. They've et up the quarantine in the Emergency room. Needless to say, ambulances aren't being admitted to the hospital.

Yeah they show that 'ad' a lot here.
Not sure about it to be honest, it upsets me a bit - fight and beat cancer, well yes.
But that doesn't mean people who have died from cancer are weak and gave up, some fought with everything they had and still lost.

Sad/bad news about the Ebola spreading. Scary stuff.

My Mom had breast cancer, with a happy *cringes* result. Wasn't fun.

They talk now about formatting treatment for the individual type of cancer. Which is pretty neat. Then I read an article in Discover magazine about how through various errors the tumor strains that they use for trying treatments on were mislabeled as to what type of cancer it was. *sighs*

No it's not fun *HUGS* but I'm glad she had a happy result.

They have made a lot of progress.
Generally people don't seem to realise that a strain of cancer isn't necessarily localised. Breast cancer is not only in the breast...

Lost my Godmother, my Mom's aunt, to breast cancer that metastasized to her brain. Treatment has come a long way but it needs to go further.

*hugs* Thank you. Yep. She's making my sister's life 'interesting'. *grins* Feisty little woman.

Little Wesley is so young he won't remember when the time comes. *snickers* And he sleeps all of the time just about.

There will be no gingerbread Wesleys around the house.

I think that I shall be a box troll for Halloween... maybe. Gotta find a box big enough that won't hamper my book shelving and checking the books out.
Bag Troll. Pillowcase Troll. Sofa cushion Troll.

Actually I'm much like a cat. I can be playful, like when I tell some just entered the school student in Spanish that 'la computadora dice, "Usted es muy nuevo y no sabe quien es usted."' Then for some reason they think that I will understand them. Nope. No palabra Espanol.

It's taken me a long time to learn these.

If all else fails there's: Dice a la senora en la oficina medio. Elle palabra mucho Espanol. My Librarian met and married to an Argentine.

In school I took French. Look how well that turned out.

Your Mom? *hugs you* No, it doesn't mean they were weak and gave up.
It means for whatever reason the cancer killed them and that's all it means as far as culpability on the part of the patient.

Yeah.

I know it's me reacting badly, but you can't help how media makes you feel.
There's a saturation of Cancer care 'adverts' at present I channel surf they use heavy emotional blackmail with no regard for people who have had losses.

Kind of thought that it might be an over saturation and there were some adverts that weren't as sensitive to those whose loved ones hadn't made it into recovery.

*HUGS*

No they don't see the flip side 'with you we can save...' so if ... wasn't saved then the culpability isn't just the disease.

Sorry, its the anniv of my mum's death this week, makes is a bit raw.
