Ranel gazed up at the small black cat in the tree. Handsome fellow perched still and staring out of beautiful big eyes. So much like his father Ranel thought proudly eyeing the handsome, bigger but equally black cat at his side.
He spared a moment to wonder how often Warne's garden lounging had been deliberate posing to trap a young neighbour, but quickly dismissed that thought because obviously Warne had been skillfully hunted and captured by he Ranel. Ranel fluffed up his furr proudly, he'd done well for himself!
'What ya doing?' a young boy scramled out of the house to question his older sibling in the tree. 'Leave me alone' not uncommon a refrain as the first litter got to that age 'Today I'm an Owl'...and O-kay that was different.
'He gets that from you' Warne muttered at Ranel, fondness hinting that he might be persuaded into some adult nap time behind a suitably magically locked door. Ranel just smirked; electing not to mention anything about their new neighbours, or share info on strigiforme shifters.
