Yahoo? What are you doing?
Jul. 9th, 2009 01:39 amThis is the second time today that I've been given this message:
Mail Home - Help
Can't talk now. System's down.
Sorry for the holdup. Looks like a temporary glitch in our network has part of Yahoo! mail down, so you're briefly without service. Rest assured the alarms are blaring in the basement and our team is working frantically to get you up and running ASAP. Again, the snag is on our end — so there's no need for you to do a thing.
Back to it,
Yahoo! Mail Team
This has been an interesting day.
Interesting that there was an e-mail asking me to go log-in to a particular website and enter my AT&T Yahoo!password to set-up new security questions. The directions are such that I tried to print them out so I could follow along. Pressed the print directions and it took me to a log-on box or option 2 answer what type of service I have and they can probably find my information. Cute little box at the bottom asking if this resolved my problem. Um.. No.
Figured out how to do this so I didn't feel like I was being subjected to phishing. Can we say Luddite enough times.
Neighbor backed into my mailbox last night, killing the pole.
Bought cinder block 1/2 block to put it up on opposite side of driveway, hopefully out of harm's way of future killing. Got block for free as the cashier couldn't find price for it and it was the last of two blocks left. Neighbor cemented it in for me.
Stopped before light to allow motorist trying to leave mall parking lot exit to enter center lane (not the closer right turn lane). She partially entered turn lane but paused as truck barrelled through at speed and hit her car. I was only 4 car lengths from the stop light, and he shouldn't have been travelling that fast. *sigh*
No one was hurt.
