Cats and Gravity AND the NEW Lj style - not happy

So I saw this and read some of the comments:

What it comes down to is Cats ARE familiars AND they CONTROL gravity but keep it secret except it seems for this example caught on video and how they always/almost always land on their feet. There has been scientific research to find out the how on that last one and we all know that kittens start early climbing into boxes in preparation for future gravity control concealment/usage.

You know I might be able to like this new Lj style IF my HOME page had:

My Journal access was on the the menu bar
My Friends Page access was on the menu bar

Has anybody looked at Dreamwidth's set up with drop downs that have those features right there.
Why couldn't Lj have done that? Too much to make MY BLOG include those two things that I want in a drop down?

Frogs knows.
My paid account comes up for renewal in August I believe. hmmm. I'm thinking.

Well I now have dreamwidth so we'll see once the 'old style' disappears. Not looked to see how it differs to lj yet.

I don't like the move to 'Blog' it removes all that makes LJ different, and it annoys me that I couldn't find my friend's page.

For me, if I clicked on MY BLOG and at the top of the list it says "charisstoma" I get my Journal and from there there is Friends Page in the top menu. *sighs* It's a less direct way to get where I want to be but I can get there... unless they do something else to change things.

I dropped LJ paid service a few years back after one of their asshat moves. Don't ask which one as I don't know since they do them sort of frequently.

The new "design" sucks giant hairy donkey balls. It brings new, expanded meaning to butt-fucking ugly.

The monochrome, low contrast listings bother my eyes. It's more difficult for me to distinguish between each of the posts.
