Title: Wish in a Dove Chocolate (m/m, magic)
Author: charisstoma
Word count: 200
Prompt: C is for Chocolate

The inscription inside the quality chocolate wrapper read, ‘Have no limits today. Love Dove©’
For a moment he played with the idea of going credit card wild, eating out, and … he couldn’t think of anything else because reality poked its head into things. He shrugged, ‘only a wrapper anyway.’

‘Still,’ he smiled a slow smile, ‘I could go wild surfing the internet.’ Simon didn’t notice the monitor screen giving a slight visual burp as he carefully smoothed out the foil Dove wrapper.

“Alright, what can I do for you today,” a cheerful voiced asked and Simon suspiciously looked at his perfectly innocent cup of coffee. “Ah, I see that you’ve received the ‘no limits’ option.” There was a friendly leer in the voice. “Any ideas?”

When Simon remained mute while checking around, behind and under his computer, the voice sternly said, “Stop that,” before continuing more moderately, “since you haven’t chosen …”

There was a clicking sound as from a card flipping across bicycle tire spokes or a spin on Wheel of Fortune. The clicking stopped, “Oh you are in luck. You’ve won an all expense paid day with me and they don’t call me Hoover* for nothing.”

*Hoover - brand of vacuum cleaner

My luck too

That would be me. Opportunity knocks and I don't answer because I don't believe it.

*snickers* Yeah. Opportunity knocking is suspect and if it turns out to be real then there's the dreaded, 'how is karma going to make me pay for this?' putting the universe back into balance.

ah, but it was luck that I found the last one of the Dove chocolates in the chocolate bin stash and that was the message inside the wrapper.

In the mess that my desk becomes as books flow in and out like the tide and some are kept to erase or white out or tape well things done to them ... I'm used to looking for things.

*snickers* There is a soap brand here too called Dove with emollients that won't dry your skin. *cue in rich suds being used to elegantly face your face and then splash water to rinse them off*

The chocolates are very very good.

Me too. Haven't seen them in the stores but I wasn't looking. Now I think I might.

I used that paragraph I wrote you for a prompt for F, since you were going for fire fights and force fields in conjunction with bare boobs. *looks innocent*
Feel free to go put your own spin on it though *grins*

*whaps you*
Have discovered that I'm not the only one with IT problems in this area. Things people talk about at Library Volunteer meetings.

It just seems odd that it's certain times of the day when there are more problems with the internet. Late at night and early usually are prime for fast connection and why is that?! *Looks at internet provider*

It was the vacuum cleaner? Or was it the computer?? Or is it the Djinn of the Dove wrapper???

This must be an organization affiliated with Dove chocolates that puts magic into the wrappers. The djinn might be contracted for that. Don't know if it's necessarily through a computer; could be your cell phone or watch or passing mirror.

To hoover someone... think what vacuum cleaners do, especially the one with hoses. They suck ... and suck well.

*evil grin* Maybe Simon is getting a house cleaning?

Well Simon might be in for a very nice time with someone who sucks like a pro or his house is going to be cleaned. *laughing*

I love Dove chocolate, but tend to only buy it when it's really on sale after a holiday. Too expensive otherwise.

He's going to really get into the swing of things and then wake up.

The Dove chocolates in question were the remaining part of my daughter's 12 days of Christmas done in February for my birthday. They were supposed to be the Turtle Doves but Doves don't do turtles. That sounds odd, out of species mating.

That would be cruel if he woke up but might be worse if it wasn't a dream thing because then there really is a magical component to the internet... Something I'm not sure isn't true anyway.
