Title: If You Love Me Redux (PG, familiars, series)
Author: charisstoma
Word count: 200
Prompt: Nightmare
Follows from If You Love Me
Wizard’s World: Strays
Meep and Seeking_ Galileo’s fault.

Darrell felt like he was in heaven. Charm had a magic tongue and in his human form could still do a steady purr that rolled Darrell’s eyes back in his head. When he was able he’d have to return the favor, Darrell smiled, if Charm didn’t take the initiative himself. How bad could a familiar’s cock be anyway?

Charm’s purring came to abrupt halt as the door to the bedroom was nudged open and a dinosaur was carried in.

“Shelby, what did we talk about doors and waiting for an invitation?”

Big eyes looked up at him, the kitten standing there uncertain, dinosaur clutched between tiny jaws. With a growl of frustration, Charm looked at Shelby and knew his mother had cursed him, wishing kittens on him as bad as him.

“Would a drink of water help?” Darrell’s voice came from the depths of a pillow.

The dinosaur moved from side to side.

“He says no,” Charm interpreted. “Bad dream?”

The little eyes got bigger and more liquid.

Sighing, “Okay, but only for tonight.”

From the hallway there was the sound of paws.

“I think we’ve been set up.”

Charm looked at Darrell, “And what was your first clue?”

Which raises the question - what would a cat consider to be a bad dream? No more cat nip?

Being how theses kittens were recently strays, and even if they've been with Darrell for a few days, this is their first time at Charm's place, they probably need the reassurance.

And if they fall asleep in the bed, Charm and Darrell can sneak out and close the door and maybe finish what they started.

If the kittens fall asleep in the bed, the image I get is of one kitten atop each and the dinosaur and Shelby in the middle. Charm and Darrell aren't getting away.

They need practice. Babies in the bed should not stop adult time. It just needs to be more creative.

Really? Creative you say?
Do tell of the ways of this creativity. I possess not this knowledge.

*laughing* I have 2 kids and they're 7 years apart.

Mine our 2½ and 3 years apart and the current baby slept in our bed for the first year or so (with a three sided crib I could slid the baby onto) and then came in with us if/when they woke in the night for several more months.

It was a long time ago, but I remember being impatient for the first six weeks to be over after my second child was born so my husband and I could get back to adult time. I never let a sleeping baby stop me.

The trick is not to fall asleep before the kid(s) do.

*snicker* That might explain why my childhood bedtimes were at 8:30 most nights... well and that my parents both worked and had to get us all to the babysitter before then so early wake ups.

My kids were nightowls. They take after me. Their father rose (that seems so wrong) with the early early morning birds.

Your fault with assist from Seeking_Galileo. The Dynamic Duo of plunny pelters. Much like that stone throwing squirrel.

Thank you. *grins* That pic. *shakes head* How could anyone say no to the cuteness?

Maybe the kitten had a nightmare about this.

I laughed then felt bad that I'd laughed. Poor kitty.

Tried finding it on Youtube. One or two were there that look like they may be sequels to this one. Cat ate the arms off the octopus one after another. Poor octopus.

Not so funny then :( but the cats intitial reaction was funny;

'Huh I've got you.....No, no, no, help, its got me, its got me!'

*grins* That reaction is preprogrammed to help them get out of boxes their heads are stuck in. Doesn't work very well when the box grabs you though with 7 of it's 8 arms.

Octopi have beaks I think. I was worried that the cat was being bitten but it didn't act like it.

Aw! Sexy lovemaking can wait when a frightened kitten needs comforting. Charm and Darrell will have other moments, lol . . . :D
