FB3X Drabble Cascade #52 - Science

Drabble Cascade at FB3X - Every Tuesday

Title: The First Day of Class (Wizard's World 'Verse, G)
Author: charisstoma
Word count: 100
Prompt:Science

Off to one side of the room, Adrian leaned with casual superiority against a book shelf looking like he owned the room which in a way he did since Arnold, the professor of the class, was his. The class was comprised of Second Years so they should know a familiar by sight but most covertly glanced at the tawny haired youth with uncertain curiosity, ‘Why was another student not at a desk?’

“Class,” Arnold said to get their attention, “This is Familiar Science. So tell me the characteristics of a familiar.”

“They look like a cat, sir.”

Arnold smiled, “Only sometimes.”

It's about time those students learned. Not enough familiars to go around? If kids don't know one my sight. Maybe the familiar shelter will help.

Ah yes, interning at the adult familiar shelter. Got to get it financed, built and staffed first. *@v@* So far we've only seen the kitten familiar shelter and the animal shelter....

I need to go back and re-read my stray stories, don't I. damn.

The lovely Frogs who is of course not at all throwing plunnies your way, because she just wouldn't do something that impolite, so don't you worry about it.

*beams innocence (copyright Saskia)*

I think I got away with that! *looks encouragingly at the non-plunnies that are not moving in on their prey*

Adrian may not look like a cat all the time, but he certainly acts like one :)

P.S. Sorry I haven't been commenting for a few weeks, I'm catching up on reading all the drabbles atm, I've been super busy.

I was following your postings and mourning that
1. I didn't live in the U.K.
2. I didn't have all the money in the world to go to the convention
3. no one has come up with a transporter like on Star Trek so I wouldn't have to fly in an airplane.

Then add on the prepping for the April writing event. (the hunt for prompts for the prompt Anchor made my word program hiss and go into hiding. (ah, It's back))
And you probably have a 'real' life that in itself can get interesting.

*SMILES* Totally understand.
