Given how old Warne probably is, Ranel isn't sure Warne HAS any other family. He occasionally talks about his father, but very much in the past tense.

I found an xmas present for the kittens when I was at the WareWhare (er, that's NZ for Warehouse, whare is house in Maori, and it rhymes cos we butcher it and pronnounce it wah-ree fah-ree, all of which is NZ for Walmart) tonight - Kittens Learn To Count! With stickers and charts and everything! Reies suggest the addition of a bag of flat pebbles to make counting easier for small paws. Brilliant!

Ah, so old family portrait. Interesting. Will the kittens find it and ask?

Ah, that's why I didn't find this earlier. 8:49 am my time I was sleeping.
Thump me if I seem to be ignoring you because I seem to be losing things in the list.

If I would ever visit NZ could I understand the people!?? WH in Maori is and F? Regionalities. Near where I use to live was a lake, Totogatic. The locals pronounce it as Toe-ga-tic. We went parking near the shore. Too many mosquitos and something was moving in the tall reeds/cat tails. Was told it was probably a frog. Did Not Help. There was a movie trailer out for FROGS. Giant frogs came out of the swamp and ate people.

Oooooh. Kittens Learn to Count *squee* and Yes, Reies has great ideas.

Perhaps this is a picture of someone from Warne's family/past.

No F in the Maori language, and no S either (they're missing some of the other letters too but I forget which ones). Vowel sounds are modified too aeiou = ah ay ee ohh oooh. Japanese people have an easier time learning Maori than english speaking NZers cos the vowel sounds are closer. As for under standing us, yes you would because most NZers don't speak Maori anyway, and our English is heavily influenced by US tv programmes. At least the midwestern US cruise ship tourists I sometimes chat to never have a problem.

Also, I'm fluent in Cat, although Ranel claims my accent is funny.
