This is magical.

The doorway.

After looking at it, that had better be in the Tardis because with windows to the outside like that, it can't be a very large room and it really deserves to be.

I'm just trying to work out how much of that is painted and how much (if any) is actual wood, and I'm failing.

Brought hubby in on this and now the debate is if the windows are even real or painted as well. I thought maybe real windows with painted frames but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I wouldn't swear to it...

EDIT: Just re-visited and read your comment. I'm thinking it's a painting on the wall, the whole other room definitely but I was less sure about the wood doorway; thought maybe there was some real bark at the top but I'm wavering towards the only real thing being the windows and possibly the light fittings.

Clever artist and I think I'd get vertigo.

Frogs had a very good thought. The wooden entryway (which is probably pieced together and carved a bit) is actually the frame for a mirror and that is why the fireplace is off center because otherwise you'd see the photographer.
Frogs is very very smart and the photo is not a picture of the inside of a Tardis house.

I think it's off centre to play with your mind, I'm 100% convinced it's a painting - the fire definitely and some if not all of the bark frame.

Is it a mirror? And not a doorway. That mantle looks a lot like the 'doorway',so they'd be best in the same room. And the lights a bit off, but the fire looks to real not to be.

The photographer standing a bit to the side, so they don't show could be the reason the fireplace isn't centered.

Dingdingdingding I believe that you are correct. That solves so many problems with the size of the room the fireplace was in.
You are very clever and yee gods the cost for the mirror.

The mirror is probably rectangle behind the impressive frame. I'm not sure how much it would cost, but my parents have a four feet by six in their entry way and I can't imagine my parents paying a ton for it. I suspect the frame is handmade. Looks like the roots of a tree (or two). Maybe the other parts of the roots is the mantle.

Oh, and I posted part two of Trifecta chapter three.
