I WAS in a heterosexual marriage at one time but it ended. As a heterosexual I don't want to be "protected" by bigots who refuse to see that love is what's important. The rest is just details.

Forgive me if I'm prying, but did you know he had these attitude when you got married and thought you could live with it, or did he change, or did you change? This isn't the main or only reason the marriage ended, was it? You don't have to answer anything you don't want to, but I'm curious.

The marriage broke down for other reasons. From my side it was his lack of emotional connection. He's only a fanatic when it comes to his right to own guns. Oh and he's a Libertarian. *shrug* Basically though, he's a good guy but he wanted his freedom instead of working on the marriage. He's not a bigot.

Look at the post right after this one. It's the original one past on to me.
Guess I just wanted to say that I can be single as the result of a failed marriage and still not want a bigot protecting my rights for any future marriage. Marriage is between two people who love each other and who want to form a partnership where they are a legally acknowleged family regardless of gender or race or religion or.. (did I miss one?)
