Excuse me but I was on this internet and I'd ask you kindly not to interfere with my usage. At approximately 12:20 pm the router started blinking red just like it did at, before and slightly after Christmas. *sighs* Expect that today is going to be a day of reading dead tree books, writing stories, and being frustrated that I can't post them YET, going to the movie and/or TV watching... hmmm If I get a Kindle book up on my computer I could probably read the whole thing before realizing the well had run dry.

So if I disappear that's probably why.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
May our next year be filled with joy, creativity, and friendship where our various differences aren't cause for causing harm.

Would insert gif here but um... posting while I can.

are you using a router? maybe you need to have that password-locked. then again, if the family is using it at the same time, then you need to wait for them to get done or schedule their time to use the internet (or you can apply for a higher speed/bandwidth). :/

Happy New Year! All the best to you and yours! :)

The router is new and the passcode is a long list of numbers that is on the front. It is difficult to tap into it. Set up required a help from the service provider for their network to allow us to hook in and the equipment was sold just for this purpose from their local store.

I think this is the service provider (local phone company)'s issue since when we have problems there is a lot of static on the phone line or worse no dial tone. Sometimes we can reset this by calling in from a cell phone and sometimes we have to disconnect the router and let it sit for a bit.

They keep trying to get us to switch their cable services but if they can't handle the internet then how can they handle the cable television too. It is a bother but I like the way their email page is organized.

hmmm... that is sad. here we are stuck with the biggest phone company in the country and are at their mercy with a very expensive plan for a 4MBPS speed. the other cable and phone companies are strained as well since they need to link in with the biggest and oldest phone company to provide the same service. tl;dr *sigh*

*HUGS*
The important thing is we made it into 2014 safely and in relatively good health and our families too.

I'm in the middle and south of the U.S. in the upper midsection of Texas.

We're supposed to get down to 18 degrees F. tonight and not supposed to get to or much over freezing all day. Which is colder than we've been in years I think. But we're rain free at this time which is good with temps like that.

The people in the north and middle to east are having a hard time. My heart goes out to them.
