FB3X Drabble Cascade #25 - Time

Drabble Cascade at FB3X - Every Tuesday

Title: Dinner Date (fractured mythology, G)
Author: charisstoma
Word count: 100
Prompt: Time

‘Time waits for no man,’ he thought and pointedly ignored what his belly thought, his very hungry belly. The sound of the cushion as he shifted his weight in the chair was louder that it needed to be and he childishly shifted a few more times for the effect.

Still nothing.

His finger nails left displeasing indentations in the chair’s leather work. Though the drumming of his fingers on the end table’s hard wood was more satisfying yet still he was waiting and his stomach was issuing serious complaints.

‘Time waits for no man but Cronus’ lover wasn’t any man.’

Thank you. I'm a fidgetor personally. The person who is having to look at their watch to check the time or vibrating their leg/heel up and down while sitting. I know where of I write.

ooo I started a line first! :p LOL

Great minds - and even the rather silly ones - think alike.

Not a hundred percent whats going on but the tension is all static intensity, well done.

Thank you. As I told thwax I know what I write on this one. Fidget = me waiting.
Time is impatiently waiting for his dinner date. It seemed appropriate.
