Just back from funeral of a family friend. Hate hate hate funerals. Do not want to inflict one on my family. Viewing of the body is morbid and the person always looks like spider web has been laid over the face and head then dusted with powder. You really have to look hard to see the image of the person you remember. They need to make caskets, if this is a trend to continue, somewhat like the ancient Egyptians. Have a mechanism that shows a computer hologram of the person's face on the casket top, when the service is done the thing is turned off and made ready for use on the next grieving family's casket.
Better yet. Do the computer slide show, they have this available now, of pictures of the person's life. Forget the body altogether. Just pay to have it taken care of in whatever manner; cremated, buried and hand out Cd's of the slide show at the end of the service if there is one.
All that said..I am going to miss that Willie's not just on the other side of the street with his wife, Wynelle. She died in March this year. My grieving hasn't started yet, am still numb.
