Highway hazard: Cow plunges 200 feet onto couple's minivan
The Associated Press
MANSON, Wash. -- Charles and Linda Everson were driving back to their hotel when a 600-pound cow, falling at about 76 mph, landed on the hood of their minivan. The Eversons were unhurt, but the cow, which fell 200 feet off a cliff, had to be euthanized. A fire official said the couple missed being killed by inches in the accident Sunday on a highway near Manson. The couple was visiting from their home in Westland, Mich., to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. Charles Everson, 49, said he didn't see the cow fall but afterward kept repeating: "I don't believe this. I don't believe this."
