Saskia, I'm hoping that your family and friends were not on either of those 2 trains.
So terrible. They are saying that no one has died, but 100 injured is not good.
I think there's someone else on Lj that I talk to occaisionally from the Netherlands.
Everyone please be alright and let me know.

Saskia's okay but there's nothing from Broken Moons.

Didn't she have someplace she was going this weekend? She was stressing over a needle being broken in the sewing machine and preventing her from being able to finish some outfit in time.

She has just put up pics of her event, so she's fine. :)
And she managed to get her sewing machine fixed and her outfit finished too. She looks lovely. :D

YOu have no idea how good that is to hear that. I know that you drive a lot to your work but these are class meetings.

Indeed, and the classes are in Amsterdam, so pretty near the crash site...but luckily Friday not Saturday! *phew*

How's the lawn (and your back)?

I know the secret of lawn mowing, take an anti-inflamitory (asprin) prior to working on things like that. So no pain but was tired after and thirsty. Lawn is shorter. Shall make son cut down the tall weeds in what was once the garden area and along the fence.

We were all pretty shocked something like that happened here! So far I've heard nothing about people I know getting hurt. Hopefully that stays that way! *nods*

Have they figured out how it came to happen. I feel bad for the person or persons who made that mistake. Guilt time X 100+.

one of them probably ignored a red sign #_# Yes, you're right. That guilt is NOT fun...but they're talking about improving the automatic brake system, which apparently doesn't work below 40 km/hour (about 25 mph)...

Otherwise news of our political situation and soccer season has overtaken the news....*hides*
