Title: May I have the Envelope Please

A long time ago it seems theotherdibbler created “Pleasures Coffee Shop”. We played there and then it spawned “Lusting Liaisons” where lived the Master Djinn Kain & his Dick. These stories still exist. *grins*
The mail was pushed through the slot and into the long chute in the door, one piece at a time. The postal carrier must have thought it amusing to hear what he thought was a electronically produced moan with alternating “YES!” and “MORE!” or it may be that he got something else from the experience. He sure looked as if walking was a tad uncomfortable in the now tight summer uniform shorts and those last few bulkier letters had been wiggled around and pushed in and out quite a bit at the end. Aasim disengaged himself from the chute loosening the waist band on his pants to remove the mail. As the mail djinn he did all the postal items before the items were given to the appropriate individuals. After a quicky in the bathroom with a willing washcloth, he opened all the mail, separating out business correspondence, circulars, bills, and magazines. Private correspondence came through the sand system and was not really his concern Zamil took care of those.
Today, Aasim turned over an envelope that appeared to be addressed by a youthful hand. The writing was lacking all the normal individualities that a person builds into their handwriting after a time.
Yet the writing had those hesitations that marked the starting and stopping of the cursive letters formation. What could such a person want with Lustful Liaisons? Leaving that enigma for last as a treat to be savored with its mystery, and dealt with the rest of the items.
Aasim sat at the desk stroking back and forth over the desktop listening to the soft sighs from its djinn. The last envelope lay there waiting patiently. If it had been djinn, it could have been that it was tired from its long journey but it was just a regular thing of paper and ink with a pretty stamp in one corner. Even the stamp was mundane and not djinn, and yet there was something about this letter that said it had been in contact at one time with magic. Not djinn magic but magic none the less. This is how Kain found him, considering the letter.
“Problem?”
Aasim looked up at the master djinn, CEOwner of their establishment. “I don’t know,” he said hesitantly. “It’s been in the presence of magic of some strength but there’s nothing magical about it.”
Kain reached down, picking the envelope up and slitting it open. Separating the outer folds, he pulled out the enclosed paper. The magic shivering from it was stronger but still it was just paper and ink. The message was written in the same hand as on the exterior, neatly and organized.
Dear Great and Mighty Personages who receive this letter,
I ask for a referral from your business of certain books that might be given as gifts. Your business is to do with gratification of the sensual and sexual and so I consider you to be experts who could advise on this matter.
The book I am inquiring about particularly is The Familiar Kitty Kama Sutra. Any other books in this same vein would also be of interest but would need some detailed description of their content before committing to their purchase.
Could you please assist me in this matter? You may reach me through the address below. I hope to hear from you soon in regards to this matter.
Sincerely,
And then the signature.
Kain snorted and considered. The return address was the boarding school to which wizards sent their children. It might spoil the surprise to look up who were this youngling’s parents and contact them. As a parent himself, if his child was looking for materials of this nature he’d like to know, if only to guide them properly to someone to aid them or retard them in their study but then he was djinn. If this had been an adult he’d have forwarded the letter onto the bookshop, Risqué Reading, but he doubted it was.
“I will take care of this, Aasin,” as he turned away to go back to his rooms.
After some researching, he made a copy of the letter for Lustful Liaisons’ records and posted a polite note to the parents of Amur ibn Balthazar al-Duke-Brian asking how they desired he deal with their child’s request.
Amur was in total confusion. ‘What did his parents mean when they asked about his contacting an establishment like Lustful Liaisons? He’d sent no such letter,’ and let his parents know this.
He didn’t say that he already had a copy of The Familiar Kitty Kama Sutra and fervently hoped they didn‘t realize that theirs was missing.

So, if it wasn't Amur who wrote the letter, who was it? I can't see Erhard being that cunning, Ranel is firmly focussed on writing bad erotic poetry for Warne and it just wouldn't occur to him at the moment (Warne, on the other hand, has already purchased a high quality copy of the above book to be presented to Ranel on the appropriate birthday), so that leaves WARREN???

Date: 2011-08-05 01:49 pm (UTC)I believe this is the definition of a cliff hanger.
Worse, I'm not writing Amur. Meep is.
[insert evil laughter here]
When I set off to write this story, it was suppose to be all from the Liaisons side of things. I wanted to see if Liaisons/Kain still had possibilities and then at the end Amur had to put his paw into it. Since MEEP (pokes the meep who is perhaps trying to kill a floor tile or twelve even as we type) is writing this I can't go much further or can I? hmmmmmmmmm Sting operation to catch who's doing this hmmmmmmm. If Amur will behave.
Anyway, this is why it couldn't be Amur.. unless he's very good at telling untruths or maybe he has a split personality. Or it's another student who has access to Amur's mail box and could filch the packages and letters before Amur got them. Those familiar felines are hot for it, you can tell just by looking at them. Just look at what that Erhard did.
*grins*
*grins*
I don't know who did it.

Warren is in process to meeting his mentor. His muse is thinking, I hope ... and will soon do something ... I hope.
I find it interesting that Warren is a conjurer and Erhard is a Booster who gets most of his spells from the transmutation discipline. Opposites. That wasn't planned.
Ranel is writing bad erotic poetry for Warne! *squirms from wanting* *swallows* ETA of this kitten being grown up enough to start the shenanigans?
Am so glad that we do not have a copy of the Kama Sutra or an ability to photoshop it with cat heads and tails over/into the pictures. You know we would. *head desk*
