“Beautiful,” Andy whispered.
“Yeah, if you like big meaty horses.”
“Simon! How can you? It’s like looking at a cave painting but the horses are real.”
Levering himself up to rest on his elbows, “They’d try and stomp me if I were in my snake form. If I want to horse around I prefer a domesticated riding.”
“Of course you would,” Andy clenched. “The ground’s not too hard for you?” he asked solicitously.
Grinning, “I should be asking you that, love, the hard part that is.”
“No, I’d say the hardness is just right.”
“Good. The time’s right for riding.”
