There should have been screams rending the air but the noise for the number of bodies present was deadened by glass and the fact he was on the 29th floor. How many were there down there, he wondered. How long would it take them to figure out a way into the building? Undoubtedly the glass on the ground floor would give way if anyone was stupid enough to show movement to the mob outside. Better if the building looked deserted, but how to enforce that when dealing with panicked people.
He considered the purpling bite. How long before he turned?
