That mosque that they want to build overlooking Ground Zero..
I understand the emotional aspects of it but if everyone would just stop forcing this into the headlines. It probably would have been quietly taken care of by now.

Ironic that in the political climate where state's rights vs. federal rights are being debated that a city's right to decide what goes where is being questioned by people who are not residents of that city. Don't know if the zoning commission for NYC puts religious establishments as being able to be built in commercial/business zoned areas without a waiver or whatever it's called.

Someone more knowledgeable want to provide zoning information?
