Supplies:
• 1 Print Jelly Roll (2½" Quilt Strips)
• 1 Solids Jelly Roll (2½" Background Quilt Strips)
• ¼ yd. Quilting Fabric for Inner Border
• 1¼ yds. Quilting Fabric for Outer Border
• ¾ yd. Fabric Yardage for Binding
• 4¾ yds. Backing Fabric
From a strip of white and a strip of color cut:
(6) 2 1/2" squares
(1) 4 1/2" strips
(1) 6 1/2" strips
(1) 8 1/2" strips
Layering two (a white and a color)squares right sides together, draw line from corner to opposite corner. Sew on the line. Trim off one side. Press to set seam, then to press open. Repeat for all but one.
Arrange the 2 remaining squares in the corners and 2 half square triangles (with white to color) into 4 patch.
Sew half square triangle to each of the color strips, white color part of triangle to color.
Build block like a Log Cabin Quilt block.
Sew 4 1/2" white strip to 4 patch.
Sew 6 1/2" color/half square triangle so the color fabric part of triangle is against the white 4 1/2" strip part sewn onto prior assembled part of block and color part of strip is against prior sewn on color side
Sew 6 1/2" white strip to 4 patch. White to 4 1/2" white sewn side of block.
Sew 8 1/2" color/half square triangle so the color fabric part of triangle is against the white 6 1/2" strip part sewn onto prior assembled part of block and color part of strip is against prior sewn on color side.
