Quilt Size: 69 " x 69" (40 - 9 Patch, 41 - Hour Glass)

Finished Block size - 6"

Supplies:

• 1 Pack of 10" Print Squares (22 squares)
• 1¾ yds. Background Fabric
• ½ yd. Inner Border
• 1¼ yd. Outer Border - 6" wide
• ¾ yd. Binding
• 4½ yds. Backing vertical seams

Layer print square and background square. Cut 2 1/2" strip off one side, half turn the fabric and cut off another 2 1/2" strip. Cut these strips into 2 1/2" squares.

Sew 3 rows of 2 1/2" squares - 2(print,background,print), 1 center strip (background,print,background)

- ***leaves layered 7 1/2" squares for the Hour Glass

***Layered 7 1/2" squares. Draw a line diagonally from one corner to it's opposite corner and sew 1/4" seam on either side of this line. Cut apart on the drawn line.

Layer a different print colors 7 1/2" squares with the print fabric of the 1/2 square triangle is over the background fabric side of the other 1/2 square triangle square. Draw a line from corner to opposite corner bisecting the prior sewn line and sew 1/4" seams either side of the drawn line. = 6 1/2" square


Rows 1,3,5,7,9 start and end with all Hour Glass blocks are arranged so prints of hour glass are horizontal.
Hour Glass - 9 patch - Hour Glass.... repeat end with Hour Glass

Rows 2,4,6,8
