What can you make with the broomstick lace stitch?
Blogger 4474 (no pattern but - http://4474.blogspot.com/2008/04/broomstick-lace-beret.html) has figured out how to create a beautiful beret out of one skein of yarn using just the Broomstick Lace and the sc and the dc.

Infinity scarves are ideal for this stitch. Once you've reached the desired length, simply use a yarn needle and stitch the two ends together.

Mamainastitch (https://www.mamainastitch.com/broomstick-lace-crochet-top/) creates a lace top. To get a larger, more open lace, she tapes two knitting needles together to use as her stick.

If you prefer sleeves, Make My Day Creative (https://makemydaycreative.com/2015/08/07/indian-summer-lace-top/)has a design for a short sweater with sleeves.

If shawls or stoles are your thing, check out Crystal Palace Yarns'* free pattern for a Broomstick Lace shawl.

Although the stitch may be a little difficult to get to run smoothly at first, with a little bit of practice, you can eventually move quickly through the stitches and create all sorts of beautiful clothing. Its simplicity is part of its charm, and being able to change the size of the "broomstick" allows you to control the size of your lace. Welcome to the world of beautiful lace!

Fill in the blank at the top of the archive with
"www.straw.com"
and choose a year from 2015 and earlier from the calendars.
Then go to Patterns or Patterns sorted by Yarn Type to look for patterns.
For patterns from 2016-17 you will need to put
"www.crystalpalaceyarns.biz" in the search window.
