1 Jelly Roll (pre cut 2 1/2 inch strips of fabric)
1 Honey Bun (1 1/2 inch strips) -background color white
1 1/2 yards of border fabric.
Instead of cutting the center squares BEFORE attaching to your first strip, just sew the center STRIP to the 1st strip, 2 strips. Then press open and cut the 2 1/2" units, all in one step.
Here the darker colors are the thin 1 1/2" strips
