Another downtime tomorrow,Friday 4pm Pacific, 6 pm middle of the U.S. They say 2 hours for hardware maintenance. Hope they get it right.
The zombies really are attacking or is that my mind failing me. Am betting on the latter.
Early bed tonight, I think. I live for weekends.

Date: 2010-11-13 12:01 am (UTC)In which the good times of Halloween never end . . .
Date: 2010-11-13 07:03 am (UTC)Thomas held his breath as he picked up his rancid offspring and wished again that wearing a peg on his nose was more comfortable. Nerony was liberally smeared with rotten pumpkin goo, and Thomas wondered why he'd ever complained about the baby being covered in honey all the time. At least honey *smelled* good!
Despite it being well past thanksgiving, Thomas' bedroom was still decorated with every type of non-vegetable matter pumpkin that he and the staff of Lustful Liaisons could think of. Papa Dick had tried his best, initially bringing home a ceramic pumpkin for Nerony to reside in. They'd carefully lifted the sleeping baby djinn out of the the real pumpkin Nerony had chosen to 'twicktweat' his Dada in and nestled him cozily into the ceramic substitute.
Only to be deafened an hour later by a screaming, angry baby who'd awoken to find himself somewhere other than where he wanted to be. They'd found out the hard way that dragon djinn babies could and would break the sound barrier. Fortunately, Master Kain had taken out the comprehensive insurance policy - the one that covered djinn induced damage.
Since then they'd tried everything to convince Nerony to move to a more pleasant and less . . . organic . . . residence, to no avail. Not even the displeasure of the Master Kain himself had any effect - seemingly baby dragon-djinn did not quail before mere Master Djinn.
Nor, did they quail before Master Dragon-Djinn, and calling upon Azre's aid had about the same level of success.
Eventually, they'd just removed any container that even so much as resembled a pumpkin from the premises.
Master Kain had *not* been pleased to discover himself hugely re-pregnant the next morning and the rest of the staff had scrambled to reclaim their abandoned cock rings. At that point they'd given into the ineviatable - and Thomas had started bathing Nerony as many times a day as he could get away with . . . . and then spent many an hour cuddling and cosseting his baby so the little one wouldn't want to go back into his slimey, rotten mess of a container.
Sighing, Thomas trickled water over Nerony's head and smeared on a generous dollop of Johnson's Baby-Djinn Shampoo - guaranteed no more tears, fears, bears or leers (it was for babies afterall) - and smiled as his little one giggled back up at him. Tiny mouth opening in a gap-toothed grin, Nerony's laughter filled the chamber as the child chirped, as he so often had over the last couple of months "TWICKTWEAT DADA!"

Date: 2010-11-14 03:30 pm (UTC)Wait! I have a life? Nobody told me that.
It was rainy and in the 60s F. and dark. Hibernation time was trying to set in. *squints* Sun might be back but it seems a little weak.
Did you post the zombie fic? Need to go off and try to find it.
