His eyes are saying "Guys, really?! Just shut up about that already."
I'm guessing he's in his late twenties and his friends are teasing him about something he did as a teenager. He's tried to tell them that's not how it happened, but they like their version better. That's what happens when your best friends are a raccoon and two otters. He keeps telling himself he loves them, which is why he hasn't bit them yet.
Next time someone else gets to be the designated driver.
He hadn't realised that the magical dye spell was permanent, as in PERMANENT. It was just supposed to be one of those that lasted a few weeks until your hair grew out and back to your normal color. Bleaching.. did... absolutely.... nothing.
