62" x 82" 5 blocks x 7 blocks
1 Pack of 2 1/2" Strips(print)
1 Pack of 2 1/2" Strips (Solid)
3 1/4 yd background fabric cut into 2 1/2” strips
1 Yd outer border fabric
3/4 yd binding fabric
(This will make 2 assembled blocks)
Lay 2 contrasting strips atop each other.
Cut a 2 1/2” square once.
Cut 4 1/2” long strip 4 times.
Sew remainder of each of the contrasting fabrics to 2 1/2” wide white strip.
Lay these sew together strips atop each other and cut 2 1/2” squares, 8 per color.
Iron them open.
Cut 2 1/2” squares of left over white strip x 8 for each block.
Assemble a 4 1/2” strip to a differently contrasting/white block. Sew together. Repeat 4 times in same configuration to make exact duplicates.
Using white 2 1/2” squares snowball opposite contrasting color fabric corners of each of the 4 1/2”strip//contrasting-white blocks.
Use remaining ‘2 patch (contrasting color/white)’. And ‘snowballed block’ where the longer strip is the same color as the contrasting color of the ‘2 patch’.
Assemble ‘snowballed block’, 2 patch (contrasting color/white), ‘snowballed block’. Sew into 2 rows Repeat. (outside strips)
Assemble ‘2 patch’, contrasting color 2 1/2” square, ‘2 patch’ (color, white, color, white, color strip)
Sew. (center strip)
Ssew 2 1/2” strip for inner border with 2 1/2” contrasting square at corners.
Sew ‘snowballed block” to corners of outer border.
