add a string of led lights in the pail

Person commented that when the temperature fluctuated throughout the day, they would expand or contract, and many of them would break apart and there were balls all over her yard.

Easy fix if you are decorating a large indoor space. Wonder if you put a hole in the ball if that would allow equalization so shrinkage wouldn't occur. Too if the pail is plastic and spray painted silver or gold......

Hee! I'm pretty sure, that if you put a hole in the ball it would just deflate! They don't ship them here from China like that!!

Also, 'Aquarium glue?' I'm pretty sure that means silicone, which will allow for a good amount of expansion and contraction.

Yeah, the deflating of the ball once punctured did occur to me after. It was late, *head desk*.

I thought that the silicone glue would seal it pretty well too. Never thought about attaching metal to plastic before and the one person woke up to the balls having dropped off.
Am leaning towards spray painting plastic pails or something like emptied margarine or cool whip tubs, which my little burg won't recycle, and using them. Color options then can be gold as well as silver.

Also, the handles on those buckets had been changed. These things are never quite as 'easy and simple' as they're made out to be.

They looked super cool though!

They look fun and not a danger of breaking. Worse comes to worse there's balls for a pool.
They'll make good decorations at work and if the kids bat at them, I swear they're cat like having to take a swing at anything dangling from the ceiling.

*grins* other option is large balloons. We've 3 tiered ceilings in the Library. It took almost a month before the balloons I got for my birthday finally came down from the up high and the air vents blew them around up there. Magical.
