This is the view from the tower, looking towards her window.


See that spire in the distance??? It's St. Mary's, which faces the Radcliffe Camera. Most mornings, she can see tourists up in the tower, taking photos. Today, she decided to join their ranks and see if she could see her window.

See that circular thing in front of the wooden door. It's a skylight into the secret tunnel (the Gladstone Link). Here you can see it from above and below ground. You can tell it's the same, because one of the glass squares is broken.

Fun fact: between the Radcliffe Camera and the Bodleian (i.e., the first two pics, showing two different parts of the library), there are cobblestones, a stone archway and a beautiful courtyard. There are also hordes of tourists. BUT, from inside the library, there is a tunnel (the Gladstone Link) where you can just go from one to the other underground. You go from a beautiful, scenic space down several flights of steep stairs, through some library stacks into a long, narrow, brightly lit and extremely modern tunnel that looks like something from a science fiction movie set. Then you climb up, and voila! You're in the Bodleian. You'd never be able to tell from above ground. It's like time traveling.
