Andy & Simon drabbles

A doctor’s appointment was scheduled because Simon, for all the ‘it’s perfectly natural’, wanted to make sure everything was okay.
Smiling, Andy ran his eyes over the snake familiar he was creating a family with, who was perched nervously on the chair next to him, fidgeting.
“You know you could be a little more excited about this.”
“I think you’re doing a good enough job of that for both of us. Let’s hope the kids take after me.”
“Simon. Andrew. You’re next.” Luckily Jennifer was a friend and knew Simon, projecting a calming spell at him. “Well? Come on in.”

Date: 2016-08-03 10:50 pm (UTC)Interestingly enough I found an ebook on Amazon, "Under Her Skin" by Margo Bond Collins. Haven't read much yet.
The main character is female and was found by her adopted father out in the desert when she was very young. He thought he'd found a new species of snake but when he went to the terrarium the next morning there was a baby girl inside. She is raised ignorant of shifters, other than herself. Not sure what the male main character is, but he seems lined up to be the love interest and drops the item that if anyone knew about her they want him to kill her. She's not supposed to exist. It looks interesting. Oh and she has a hood in snake form which he says is as beautiful as her human form.
