You is very clever, and I wish I could reward you with another fic, but I don't have one biting my brain at this moment. I'm sure it will happen though if I let it percolate.

I have provided two/three prompts actually. Surely one of those will bite. The labeled cat bites but once but when it bites it does it well.
The falcon eating the homework... come on Meri.

HA!

"So we're having liger cubs then?" Daniel asked dubiously, stroking his hand over the prominent curve of his stomach. They'd just been for their first ultrasound, and the technician - fortunately of other-worldly origin herself - had identified three foetuses (foetii??) growing in Daniel's burgeoning belly.

"Yup." Leander answered, continuing with his adoring of Daniel's bulge. "Gonna be daddies." He chuffed after he finished speaking, something he rarely did when he wasn't in feline form. In Daniel's belly, there was a small vibration, as if tiny little liger cubs were responding to their father's call.

"Hmm, I thought hybrids were sterile. Like donkeys and horses create mules which are sterile . . . "

"I am NOT a mule!" Leander exclaimed indignantly. "Nor am I an ass!"

"Well that's up for debate . . . "Daniel murmured, grinning as Leander began to sputter in articulately. "Yes, yes, you're extremely virile!" Daniel proclaimed in finally in an attempt to quite his lover's protests. "But, what about the human part? I'm human, surely the cubs will be part liger, part human?"

"Nope," Leander replied smugly. "Ligers always breed true. My paternal grandparents were a tiger and lion so my father was a liger, but my mother was human. But I'm 100% liger . . . "

"And all man . . . " Daniel added, grinning.

"You got it baby," Leander agreed happily, kissing Daniel's stomach before moving up to Daniel's lips. "You're not upset?" he asked, pausing in his ravishment.

"About what?" Daniel was more interested in the kisses than the question.

"About everything," Leander pulled his face away to stare into Daniel's eyes. "About getting pregnant, about having liger cubs, about having triplets . . . "

"Oh that," Daniel shrugged, pulling Leander's face in for another drugging kiss. "I think I can safely say that anything that makes you so happy, makes me very very happy to."

"Mmm," Leander nearly purred, even though ligers couldn't purr. "Having you pregnant with my cubs makes me very very VERY happy. I never thought I'd be a daddy."

"Me neither, sweet cheeks. Now, howsabout we start practicing for the next litter . . y'know, just in case."

"Oh yeah, wouldn't want to get out of practice. Just in case," Leander agreed, swooping down to transfer his worship to Daniel's equally burgeoning groin.

(Sorry, am drunk, knew where I was going when I started writing this and had a snappy and snarky quip to finish with, but had forgotten it by the time I got to the end).

*laughing* That will teach you. At least you have an excuse for loss of the planned ending. Nice satifying ending that you came up with anyway.
Now about that imbibing ..... mid-week?? Weekends Meri. Weekends after long sweaty work is the time for a cold drink.

Leander is a big pussycat who will make a good Daddy. Loved the kittens response to his chuffing. Daniel in his lion/liger's den is doing well.
